RONALD McDONALD HOUSE
On May 31st Qwest Pioneers fun kid-friendly burnch to families staying
temporarily at the Minneapolis Ronald McDonald House.
|
QWEST PIONEERS FLIP AT RONALD McDONALD HOUSE Flapjacks, sausage, fruit and “monkey bread” were on the menu May 31 as Qwest Pioneers from around Minnesota gathered to cook brunch for residents at the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis. Patients and their families often spend many weeks at the House while in treatment and undergoing tests and they rely on dedicated volunteers for daily meals. Volunteers from the many Qwest Telephone Pioneer clubs around Minnesota put out a meal that was a hit with everyone. |
|
A huge tray of homemade
cookies made by Mary and Marge Paul was a popular after-brunch stop for
diners. Qwest Pioneers are
scheduled again October 11, 2009 to prepare and serve brunch at the
Ronald McDonald House. If you are looking for a volunteer project that
takes just a few hours of your time this is the just the right place for
you. You can bring an over-fourteen teen to help out too if you’d like to
introduce your child or grandchild to volunteering. |
