November 30, 2011
The meeting was called to order by Betty Lee at 1:02 p.m. Pioneer members present were JoAnn Cooper, Bill Carlson, John Warren, Betty Lee, Char Reno, and Nancy Eilefson.
Financial Report – We made our 65% and we still have money! Motion by Nancy with a second by John to donate $100.00 to the Proctor Historical Society. Motion passed.
Life Member Report – There were 26 Pioneers, Partners, and guests at the November Life Member Luncheon. Bill Carlson gave a very nice presentation on LifeLine. It was enjoyed by all of us. Tom Wetter was Bill’s guest. The next Life Member Luncheon will be January 18, 2012. All are welcome; reservations are necessary. Nancy will check with STRIDE to see if they would send a representative to explain STRIDE services. Leo Wittenberg offered to host a Pioneer gathering at the Air Museum in August. We accepted his offer with pleasure and will make plans to have a gathering there.
Hug a Bear Report – We donated 12 head coverings to St. Luke’s and 12 to Essentia. We delivered 20 bears to St. Luke’s. St. Luke’s would like red and green bears for Christmas stockings. We have 32 to give them. JoAnn will check on Hug a Bear labels. Betty is getting a donation of fleece for hug a bears.
Chapter Update – The next chapter meeting is December 9 at Coon Rapids. JoAnn will check on the new CenturyLink t-shirts. JoAnn reported on the Boston centennial meeting. She said it was exciting to win the Fundraising award for the Spirit of Service ride. The chapter won the award for the Veterans’ care bag project as well as an award for new membership.
NEW BUSINESS: We will meet in December.
The meeting adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
