PIONEER MEETING
ARROWHEAD COUNCIL
November 28, 2012

The meeting was called to order by Char Reno at 12:58 p.m. Pioneer members present were Bill Carlson, John Warren, Char Reno, JoAnn Cooper, and Nancy Eilefson.

OLD BUSINESS:
Financial Report – JoAnn provided us with financial reports.

Life Member Report – There were 16 Pioneers, Partners, and guests at the Life Member Luncheon. Char led the Pledge and a Moment of Silence. Eileen is resigning as treasurer; Char will take over the money collection job. The next Life Member Luncheon will be in January. All are welcome; reservations are necessary. We will ask the office to donate birthday in a bag items. We would fill the bags at the Life Member Luncheons.

Charitable Report – We gave 21 Christmas hug a bears and 20 regular bears to St. Luke’s and 24 to the Life Care Center. 30 head coverings were given to Essentia and 29 to St. Luke’s. More bags were ordered for St. Luke’s Breast Cancer Center. The check was mailed to the CAF Museum. Books were delivered to the Big Red Bookshelf at the Lake Superior Health Care Center Dental Office.

Chapter Update – JoAnn was reelected State President and Pat Jeukens was elected Vice President. Volunteer time was discussed at the Chapter meeting. We need more hours. We also need to combine our efforts with the Century Link team to compliment and complete community service.

Other – 20 cell phones were sent to GRC; we received $16.00. Sympathy cards were sent to the families of Elnora Bergh, Grace Miller, Pat Bandelin, Glenn Wittich, and Art Goewey. Vern Wagner also passed away; no card was sent.

NEW BUSINESS: Motion by Bill with a second by John to cancel the December meeting. Motion passed. The Food Shelf Drive is coming up in March. Would we be able to have a BINGO game – selling boards – or do we need a gambling license?

WRAP UP:
Motion by John with a second by Bill we adjourn. Motion passed. We adjourned at 1:42 p.m.
