Hug-A-Bears

The Metro Hug A Bear group meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Activity Room of the Heathers Manor at
3000 Douglas Drive N, Crystal MN.
Up to 20 Pioneers get together from 9 AM to about 2 PM to complete little cloth bears that have been cut and sewn at member’s homes.
At our monthly meeting we stuff them with fiber fill, sew up the bottoms,
put on a decorative knitted/crocheted bow tie and place each one in a plastic bag.
We complete about 50-70 Bears a month. You don’t have to know how to sew to join our Hug A Bear group
since most of the activity centers on stuffing and completing the Bears.
If you can’t join us, we welcome donations of new fiber fill for stuffing and material used to make the bears;
cotton, gingham, seersucker and flannel make great bears.  Fabric will be used to make squares of about 14".
We also welcome folks who crochet or knit to make the ties we use on the Bears - it's a great way to use up yarn scraps.
Call Mary Ann Neuman at 763-535-3865 if you would like to join the Hug A Bear group,
have fabric/fiber fill to donate or wish to make ties
