QWEST PIONEERS AND FRIENDS BRIGHTEN VETERAN’S HOME DAYROOM

On April 12, 2008 Bob Clark, President of the MN Qwest Pioneer Life Member Club and 4 friends, Kara Malec, Heather and Greg Hinke and Mary Kopet volunteered to paint a large dayroom for residents at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home in Minneapolis.  Kathy Hanson joined the painting crew too.

Because of funding shortfalls, the MN Veteran’s Home relies on volunteer help with  many refurbishing tasks.  Bob learned of the need for the room painting while arranging a Pioneer membership recruitment concert in January.   This volunteer opportunity was listed on the PALS system prior to the action date.  Active Qwest employees can check out PALS for other meaningful volunteer opportunities and events in your area.
